Article Withdrawal Policy

Guidelines and procedures for article withdrawal, retraction, and replacement

Overview

At Barw, the decision to accept a paper for publication is solely at the discretion of the Editor-in-Chief, who follows guidelines set by the Editorial Board while ensuring compliance with legal standards, including those related to plagiarism, libel, and copyright.

Barw is committed to maintaining the quality and integrity of published research, offering accessible publishing solutions for authors, libraries, and scientific communities while addressing ethical, moral, and legal concerns.

While rare, there are instances where a published article may need to be withdrawn, retracted, or replaced. The editor-in-chief makes these decisions after a thorough evaluation, ensuring a responsible and fair process.

Withdrawal or Retraction

Articles that have been accepted but not fully published may be withdrawn if errors are found, if the article was mistakenly resubmitted, or if ethical standards were not met. This includes issues like inconsistent author contributions or questionable data integrity.

In cases of withdrawal, the article will be removed from the Barw website, and a statement will be issued to explain the decision.

Suppose the authors or the Editor-in-Chief retracts an article. In that case, it will be removed, and a signed declaration by the authors or Editor-in-Chief will be published, providing a clear link to the original article in the journal's Table of Contents.

Article Removal

In some cases, articles may be removed due to legal constraints imposed on the publisher, authors, or copyright holders.

In such cases, the article's text will be replaced on the website with a statement indicating its removal for legal reasons.

Article Replacement

If an article contains significant errors or misleading data that could pose a public health risk, it may be replaced with a corrected version.

A link to the updated article will be provided to confirm its status.

The authors or the publisher can initiate replacement requests.

Archival Policy

All articles—accepted, published, withdrawn, retracted, or replaced—are stored in the Barw electronic archives.

The article withdrawal, retraction, and replacement policy will be updated regularly and made available on the Barw website.
